Boy, it's hard to just jump right back in after not following EVERY single little thing for a week and a half! Slowly but surely, I am getting the deals together from many various sites like Jill Cataldo's, Hot Coupon World, Couponers Wanted.
First, let me say that I do not do any of the Cyber Monday deals since I really do not shop online because I really like to see the items and make sure they are going to work for my gift recipient. I find that I can find a lot of things on sale and on clearance and do pretty good without having to shop online. I have a lot of my Christmas shopping done since I have been buying things that I have seen in the last few months. I usually start around September keeping my eye out for items that will work for my friends and family.
Here are the Walgreen's deals I did tonight:
2 Toblerone Candy bars - $1.50 each - used 2-$1 coupons from 11/22SS - I should have also used the $1/2 coupon from the December coupon booklet to make these free but I forgot about that one and ended up paying $.25 each. Oh well! :-) This deal goes through 12/27 so you have time to gather more coupons if you can.
6 Nivea lip care - $.99 each and 1 Nivea lotion - $7.99. I used 3 BOGO coupons from 11/1RP for the lip care and I had 2 lotions I tried to buy and use 2 buy 3 lip care items, get 1 lotion free coupon from 11/1RP but the cashier said I would have to buy 3 more to use both so I just had her take off one of the lotions and just used 1 coupon. I must still be tired from vacation because I just did not feel like explaining it. 6 lip care and 1 lotion for $2.97 is still a good deal so again, oh well.
Revlon eyelash curler - $4.99 - used $1 coupon from 11/15SS and tried to use the $3 coupon from the Wags December coupon booklet like a lot of sites have been reporting. Well, the coupon beeped and the cashier told me that the price is rung up taking the coupon into consideration but that is not true. I really didn't feel like standing there trying to make her understand and I needed the curler because I had to throw mine out due to the pink eye I got so I just let it go. At the very least, they need to let you use the $1 coupon from that booklet so give it a shot and see if you get a friendlier cashier and are able to use the coupon.
2 Walgreen's Antibiotic ointments - BOGO
1 Complete Multi-purpose solution - $7.99 - used $1 coupon from 10/25RP and got back $8 RR. This worked out REALLY well because I found a BOGO package - it's actually 2 singles shrink wrapped together, not the 2 pk box so I got 2 of them and made $1. :-)
All in all, with the coupon problems with the cashier it was just an ok trip.
Other things that I have read about but haven't done:
Olay deal: Get 1 Olay Ribbons body wash - $2.99 & 1 Olay Quench lotion - $7.99 & 1 Olay In Shower body lotion. The In Shower body lotion will be free for buying the Quench lotion (in Wags ad). Then use the coupon from 11/29PG insert for a lotion when you buy the body wash. You will get all 3 for $2.99
Ecotrin is $1.99 with Walgreen's ad. Use the $10/3 coupon or $7/2 coupon from 10/11RP and it will be a money maker! Be sure to give the manufacturer coupon before the Walgreen's coupon.
Glade candle products - 2/$4 after $1 RR
There are several coupons you can use in the 11/1SS for several different products or the $3/2 coupon from 11/22SS.
