Not only is it a BEAUTIFUL day outside but I made another VERY successful trip to Jewel!
Here is what I bought:

3 Culinary Circle pizzas - used $5 off 3 Jewel coupon (exp. today) and 1 FREE coupon from the Preferred card update booklet
6 Tombstone Garlic Bread pizzas - these are 4/$10 right now and they are generating a $5 cat when you buy 6 plus I had a coupon for one Free from the Freezer deal last Feb.
1 Wild Harvest Organic milk - Free coupon from Pref. card book
1 bag red apples - Free coupon from Pref. card book
1 Romaine Lettuce
1 pkg. grape tomatoes
1 organic cucumber
Bananas
1 Nestle 24 pk water - used a Free item coupon mailed to me from Nestle for sending in 5 UPC a few months ago
2 24-pk Diet Coke - used $1/2 coupon that I found at Jewel over the summer

GM/Unilever/Kimberly Clark cat deal items:

2 Pillsbury Toaster Strudel - used 1 $.55/2 coupon
3 Totino Pizza Rolls - used 1 $40/2 coupon
2 BC Scallop potatoes - used 2 $.25 coupons
5 BC cake mix - no coupons
7 Fiber One Bars - used 7 $.40/1 coupons
3 cans Progresso Traditional soup and 1 can Rich & Hearty soup - used 2 $.50/2 coupons **Remember that the Traditional soup rings up at a cheaper "sale" price than the Rich & Hearty soup**
2 Wish Bone salad dressings - used 2 $.75/1 coupons from a link on an email from Wishbone - go to their website and sign up and you may be able to get them too.
4 Progresso chicken broth - used 4 $.50/1 coupons
8 Scott paper towels - used 4 $1/4 coupons

Now, I stacked the deal x 3 only so that I could get over $100 to use the coupon that Doug found for $10 off of $100. I also used some of my Free item coupons to get to over $100 without really being over $100. I hand over my coupons to the cashier with that one on top so that it would be deducted first. He scared me because he set it aside! I thought, "oh no - he's going to scan everything and then I will be under the $100 and not able to use it!". Well, I guess he saw the Free item coupons that I had under that one and wanted to scan those first. He deducted all of Free items first and luckily I had enough to buy today outside of the cat deal that I was still just over $100 and then he scanned the $10 coupon. Anyway, the whole point of this long story is that they normally will scan those coupons before your manufacturers coupons so put any coupon like this on top of your coupon pile before you hand them over.

My total before Preferred savings was $182.45. After Pref. savings, $132.30, after coupons it was $83.71. I used $45 in cats that I had from before and so my oop (out of pocket) was $38.71 and I got back $50 in cats!! $45 from the $30/$15 cat deal and $5 from the Tombstone pizza. So, all in all I got all of that stuff for $33.71! CRAZY!

I need to go make my next list! :-) Both of the kids schools are doing food drives so I am gathering a ton of stuff for them as well as for the food pantry. Since we don't have a lot of extra money, it feels so good to be able to help those that are in need in these tough times for next to nothing! I have always given to the food pantry but in the last year, I have been able to help out so much more as well as share with lots of friends and family. It is such a blessing! I am taking my sister shopping tomorrow - last time a deal like this was going on, she got over $500 worth of groceries for next to nothing. My sister-in-law has done 6 transactions and her oop has been $50 and has gotten $90 in cats and that's without a ton of coupons.

Good luck and keep shopping! :-) Enjoy this Beautiful day we have been blessed with!
