Here are a few things going on at Target.


Quaker Oatmeal individual cups are $1 each. The coupon from 8/30RP is for $1.25/2 and does not specify a size. These would come out to $.75 for 2 cups - cheap healthy, hot breakfast! :-)


Chex Mix is on a temporary price cut for $1.75 - use the $1 Target coupon (get it from the Target Coupon Generator at http://www.organicgrocerydeals.com/) and a $.50 coupon from http://www.coupons.com/ and they are only $.25 a bag! I also saw some bags with a $.50 peelie coupon on them. The Target coupon does say 3.75 oz or larger so this coupon should work on the small bags too - those are around $1 so they should be free. :-)


Mr. Clean - I bought 2 liquid bottles and 2 spray bottles. These were $2.39 each. I used 2 coupons (buy liquid, get spray free) from 9/27 P&G. I also used 2 $.50 coupons from 8/30 P&G (exp. tomorrow). So these came out to under $1 each!


I also bought 4 Mr. Clean Magic Erasers - these were $1.99 each. I used the BOGO coupon from 9/27 P&G and on some of the bottles I had picked up there were hang tags with Target coupons which included $.75 off Magic Erasers. I also used 2-$1 manufacturers coupons from the 8/30P&G (exp. 9/30). So these came out to $.48 for all 4 boxes!

Good morning

I ran a few errands this morning before work and it turned out pretty good. Here's what I ended up with.

Walgreen's - I had taken in 3 ink cartridges to be refilled so I picked them up this morning so that I could use a $5/$25 coupon. When did they go up to $12.99?!?!?! I thought they were $10 each and so I was going to use $4 in RR's to get close to the $25 needed to use the coupon. Well, I wasn't thinking when he ran them up but I should have only gotten 2 and bought something else and then paid for the third one with other items later in the day and used another coupon. Oh well. I used $8 in RR's and the coupon and paid $25 for the 3 refills. I will go back later today and get some of the free after RR items to use another coupon. I just ran out of time.

Butera - bought 10 yogurts (they didn't have much left - only 2 Delights - grrr) and 2 gallons of milk. Used 10 $1 coupons for the yogurt and paid $5.26 oop for all of it! That's only $1 more than what the milk would have cost me. Yay! My kids love smoothies so I'm gonna try something out - I put 2 packages of the yogurt in the freezer. I am going to see if they freeze ok and then we just pop them in the blender with fruit and milk and see if it will work. I'll let you know! :-)

CVS - since my post on Sunday I decided to rethink the P&G deal at CVS. I had those Vocal Point coupons and a home mailer coupon from Tide for the stain release. I have heard this is really good and wanted to try it anyway. I bought:
3 Bounce dryer bars ($4 ea) - used 3-$1.50 coupons
1 Tide ($6) - used $1 coupon
1 Tide Stain Release ($4) - used $1.50 coupon
4 Dawn Hand Renewal soap ($1 ea) - used 2-$1 coupons and 2-$.50 coupons
My pre-coupon total was $26.00 but my after coupon total was $16.00. I used $7.00 in ecb's so my oop was $9.00. I received $10.00 ecb's. So after ecb's, I ended up paying $6.00 for all of that stuff. Not too bad.......

At Walgreen's you do have to spend $25 after manufacturers coupons to be able to use this coupon.

Not everyone has a Butera by them but I know a lot of you that look at this blog live by one so I thought I would put in the few things that I saw were good deals. I used to go there all of the time but they are not very coupon friendly so I don't find myself in their store too often.

Remember at Wags, you have to have enough items to use all your coupons or the register will beep. So, if you have 1 item and are using 2 coupons (mfg and RR or Wags coupon) then you must have a filler item. Lots of the Halloween stuff is really cheap and good to use as fillers! Look down that isle if you have register rewards to use up.

Everything went ok as far as prices and I was able to use all of my coupons. The only thing that went wrong was that I did not get my Oral B RR! I was supposed to get 9 RR's and only received 8. It was hard to count as they were coming out because other coupons were also coming out and there were 3 people behind me so I didn't stand there and count them when she handed them to me. So double check your RR's before you leave the register. I used 2 RR's from last week and may have screwed up and used one from the same company which most times does not then generate an RR from that company - even for a different product. No biggie. I spent $38.91 (including using the $5 in RR) and received $29 back in RR's. This total also includes an $8 item that was not on sale but necessary. So, all in all, a good trip.

I did notice that my Walgreen's did not have sale tags on several things in the ad but they all rang up at the sale price. The Herbal Essences and Gillette Razor are two that I remember.

A winner!

Looks like we have a winner for view #1050! I will be getting an envelope stuffed with coupons in the mail to Sheryl who was the winner this morning. :-) I'm still under the weather, finally went to the doctor today though so now hopefully with some meds, I will be better by the time the Sunday ads are in my hands! :-)

Not much going on at the stores this week. I have been scouring the sites looking for great deals that I haven't told you about but really, nothing outstanding popping out at me! Maybe with the new ads coming out tomorrow for Thursday's sales - it will get better. :-) That's ok though since I think my daughter gave me her cold! Ugh.


Yesterday was Alex's 14th birthday! We went out to dinner with my mother-in-law and her husband and had a great time! On the way home, we stopped at Dominick's to pick up some powdered sugar for frosting.

The Nature Valley Nut Clusters I told you about a few days ago are now generating the free Capri Sun cat! AND the $1.60 IP coupon has reset - I just printed one to be sure and it was working. I got the overage from the ecoupons from Shortcuts.com and cellfire.com. It gave me 3-$.40 ecoupons and 1-$1 ecoupon plus I had 4 $1.60 coupons and the $4 discount for buying 4 GM products. Good deal!


Later I decided to go to Jewel. I have not been there in almost a week! VERY RARE for me! It has just been busy and I really have so much stuff right now. Anyway, I did go to get the Goldfish and do the Ritz deal. Here's what I bought:


4 Ritz crackers - used $3 tearpad coupon right by the crackers
4 Ritz Crackerfuls - used 4 BOGO coupons from 8/23SS
8 Fruit 2O drinks - used 8-$1.00 coupons from 8/23SS

1 Swiss Tea - used $1.50 coupon mailed to me
I did receive the Snack save $3 discount twice (wasn't sure if it stacked but it does) so $6 instantly off. My total was $28.55 before coupons and I ended up paying oop $5.05 so I would say a good trip since the syrup alone was $3 after using the $1 coupon! :-)


Notice anything????? I forgot to get the GOLDFISH!! I could not believe it when I got home and Doug asked me how many I got and I realized it! Oh well, I guess I'll be running to Jewel later!


I also read about a Scott's cat deal running at Jewel too. Buy 2 Scott items from different categories and you will receive a $2 oyno cat. It includes the single rolls so you can buy 1 single paper towel and 1 single roll of toilet paper and you will get a $2 cat. There were blinkie coupons out for Scott products a couple of weeks ago so look through your coupons and see if you picked up some. This could turn out to be a money maker!


I have not gone to Meijer yet to do this and might just skip it but here is a couple of deals I read about:
Oscar Mayer Deli Creations sandwiches are 2/$4 - there is a mealbox coupon for $2 off of 2 and a $1/2 coupon in 9/20SS so they would be $.50 each.

The buy 5, save $5 includes Chips Ahoy Snax Sacs - They are $2 each so buy 5 = $10 - less the $5 discount brings you to $5. If you get the $3/4 tearpad coupon from Jewel I just spoke about (Meijer may also have these, I don't know) then you will pay $2 for the 5 packs. Not too bad if you need snacks for something.

Walgreens and no CVS

We are a bit under the weather around here so not much shopping being done. Amanda has been sick and I have had a killer migraine all day! I will get back in the swing of things tomorrow.
Anyway, tomorrow my "baby" turns 14 and I had to run out to Walgreens to get some streamers and balloons. Ever since the kids were 1, we have decorated their rooms so that when they wake up in the morning, it was a fun start to a very special day. Of course, it does not matter how old they are turning, they expect balloons and streamers! :-)
Since I was going out, I figured I would do my Walgreens run. There really isn't a lot at either Wags or CVS this week but here are the few things I found.

Walgreen's

- Streamer's and Balloons
- M&M Premiums are on clearance at my store for $1.09. I LOVE the Chocolate Almond ones so I got a couple.
- Aussie products are on sale for $2.99, get $2 RR so $.99 each. There is a $2/2 coupon in the 9/13RP. You don't need to use this coupon since using it brings it down to $1.98 for both so it's the same as not having any coupon at all. You can save it for another sale if you would like. I used it just to get 2 products at $.99 each and not have to go back to Walgreens this week to do another transaction.
- Sally Hansen nail polish is 40% off and there is a sign that says Buy 2 get $3 RR, Buy 3 get $5 RR so we decided to buy them here instead of CVS, where they are BOGO until Tuesday. Well, I didn't check and I ended up NOT getting my RR, so be sure you get yours if you buy these! See what I get for shopping when I can barely keep my eyes open?!?!?!? Oh well. I did use 2 $1 off coupons from 8/2RP.
- Carefree panty liners are $1.99 with $2 RR until the end of the month. There is a $1 coupon in 8/30SS.
- ThermaCare neck wrap is $2.49 - you will get a $2.50 RR when you buy this. You can print a $1 coupon here: https://www.wyethallbrands.com/coupon_registration.aspx?OfferNumber=saKzhet5cggonIM2PrhofA==
- Oral B toothbrush is 2/$4.00 - get $2 RR when you buy 2. Use the BOGO coupon from 8/23RP and get both for free.
- Roots of Nature hair care product is $6, get $6 RR. - if you can find the one on clearance for$1.79, it is being reported that it is also generating the RR. I couldn't find any at all (not regular or clearance) at my Walgreen's so I was not able to do it.
- Hershey's Reece's Peanut Butter Cups - buy 2 and get a free 20 oz. Diet Coke. There were $1/2 tear pad coupons by the soda at my store so I bought 4 candy and 2 Diet Cokes. I used the $1 coupon and 4 $.55 coupons from 8/23SS. So, 4 candy and 2 sodas for $.98! The kids are gonna love me on Halloween when they get full sized candy! :-)

Not too much going on at CVS this week! I am disappointed because I had received a $5 off of $30 coupon via email and was hoping to use it with the new sales because it was good only for the weekend. Oh well.
- If you are a Pepsi drinker, the Pepsi is 4/$9 after ecb's.
- Crest Pro Health toothpaste or rinse is $.99 after ecb's. Use the $.75 coupon from 8/30P&G.
- If you need Halloween candy, you can get $5 ecb when you spend $15 on participating candy.

That's about all I see that are ok deals. Neutrogena products are buy $15, get $5 ecb but the prices are not that great. There is a $1 coupon in the 6/7SS for the Men's products and $1 off the hair care products in 9/20RP if you are planning on doing this.

Eggo Waffles

There is an Eggo Waffles deal running at Jewel. The sales ad says Buy 5 Kellogg's products, save $5.00 instantly. They are not pictured in the ad but Eggo Waffles are included in this deal.

Buy 5 Eggo waffles at $1.99 each = $9.95 - use $1/2 coupons from 8/2 Kellogg's/Keebler insert less the $5 instant savings makes it $3.95 for 5 boxes or $2.95 if you have 2 coupons!
If you have the School for Fuel booklet from about 1-1/2 months ago, there is a coupon in there for $2 off fresh fruit when you buy 2 Eggo waffles. Get some free fruit too!

If you are using 2 of the $1/2 coupons, this coupon will beep because it is attached to the waffles to be sure you are buying the product necessary to get the fruit. The cashier will just have to push it through. I used lots of these coupons from the booklets for $2 off store bread or free milk when the Keebler crackers and cheese and Keebler cookies were part of the Kellogg's deal a while back and they beeped every time. It was never a problem though because the coupon is for the fruit. (or bread or milk, etc.)

Jewel Campbell/Pepperidge Farm deal

I have read that using any of the instant savings deals like the Ritz crackers/Crackerfuls deal will mess up your total for the Campbells/Pepperidge Farm deal. I have not gotten to Jewel yet (hopefully tonight) to try any of it out so I am just going on info that I have read on a few sites. So, if you are going to get any of the instant savings deals going on, do not do them in the same transaction as your Goldfish, cookies, soup, etc. When the instant savings comes off, it is kind of like when they enter a cat in as Grocery instead of a manufacturer coupon and brings your catalina deal under the required $ amount.

So, if you printed those $1.60 coupons I posted about on Monday (I hope so because they are no longer available!), you can do REALLY well on this deal! 4/$10 - less $4.00 instant savings -$6.00 less 2-$1.60 coupons (or more if you were able to print more!) 9/13SS or 8/23SS also have $1 coupons so use 2 of those if you could only print 2 - you are now at $.80. With the $1 e-coupon from shortcuts.com you will end up making $.20 for buying 4 of these! I have a whole bunch of $1.60 coupons that Vocalpoint.com sent me so I plan on doing this a few times this week! I love money makers!

-California Pizza Kitchen for One Pizzas are included in the instant $4 and Capri Sun deal. There are expired $1 coupons in 5/17SS. There are other items included too so look for tags in the store.

-Haas Avocados are $1 each through Sunday - use the $1/2 coupon from the Corona booklets we picked up over the summer if you still have them. I have 3 left - guacamole this weekend! Yay!

-They also have Ritz, Crackerfuls, Chips Ahoy and other Nabisco items BOGO - you should be able to use 2 of the Buy one Ritz, Get one Crackerfuls free coupons 8/23SS and get the 4 for free. I was going to use mine at Jewel to get 4 for $2 but if this works, I will use them at Dominick's.

If you have the Preferred Card update coupon booklet - use the $1 off Pepperidge Farm cinnamon swirl bread (brown sugar reported not to be working) when you buy 3 Campbell Soups. If you buy 1 bread and 9 soups, it should get you over $15 you need to get the $5 cat (CHECK "SALE" AT YOUR STORE) - use the $1 coupon and any Campbell soup coupons you have to make your oop less! The regular soups (chicken noodle, tomato, etc.) are $.50 preferred but $.75 "sale". If you buy 20 soups, it will cost you $10 and you get $5 back.

The Pepperidge Farm cookies are $2 each preferred but $3.00 "sale" price so if you buy 5 - you will pay $10 and get $5 back.

Goldfish crackers are 4/$5 preferred and 4/$8 "sale" so buy 8 and you will pay $10 and get $5 back.

You can mix and match these things too - you don't have to buy 20 soups! Just make sure your "sale" price is $15.00 and you will get your $5 cat. If you don't know what I am talking about or this is confusing, please refer to the Jewel post on Aug. 3rd. If it doesn't work out - please do not complain to customer service! If you are choosing to do the deal this way, it is going against the ad so you are taking a RISK. This is why I say to ALWAYS check prices at your store using the price scanners and use the UPC list to be sure that you are buying the right product! Walgreens

I have not had a chance to go through the Walgreen's ad but I had to run to CVS tonight to get some milk (which by the way gave me $1 ecb) so I ran into Walgreen's to try this out. You are probably wondering why I didn't get the milk at Walgreen's - well, my family is kinda picky about milk (we really like the Dean's Over the Moon) and we just don't like the milk from Walgreen's.

Anyway, back to my deal that is a double dip! Pick up the little booklet at the front of the store called Healthy Savings to help you Stay Healthy. There is a $2 coupon in there for Triaminic. I bought 2 Children's Triaminic Night Time Cold & Cough (grape flavor) which are $5 each. It is a Walgreen's coupon so the register took off $4.00 since I bought 2. My total was $6.18 and I got 2 $5 cats! My favorite - a Money Maker! Now remember, if you are going to do it more than once, you can not use either of the $5 cats to pay for the transaction or you will not get your second set of cats. I myself am happy doing it once - I don't have small kids so I am going to share the medicine with my family that does.

I like to fly under the radar (not doing anything wrong but don't like to attract attention) so I would buy 3 of them so that the coupon does not beep and you don't have any trouble - still $.20 for 3 string cheese is not bad. If you want to try it with 2 - go ahead and see if it works!

Buy a small bag of Purina dog or cat food and use the $3 coupon from 9/13RP and the $2 Target coupon and it will be very cheap or maybe free!

Took a quick trip to Meijer today. They have a few really good deals right now. Here is what I ended up getting. I put the prices of the items and the coupons I used in red.

4 - Endust - $1.99 ea. -used 4 $2 coupons - 8/30RP
2 - YoPlait Delights - $2.19 ea. -used 2 IP's ($1.25&$1.00) plus 1 MB (mealbox) coupon -$1/2
2 - A-1 sauce - 2/$5 -used 2 $2 coupons - 8/16SS plus 1 MB coupons $1/2
2 - A-1 Marinade - $1 each -used 2 $2 coupons -8/16SS - hoped to get overage but the machine actually adjusted the coupon to $1. I should have gotten 4 of them and they would have all been free. Oh well.
3 - Kool-Aid on the go packs - $1 - used 3 MB coupons - $1 so FREE! The best part is that when you buy 3, you get a $2 oyno cat! If you plan to buy more than 3, do separate transactions though because you will only get 1 cat no matter how many you buy. There were only 3 left in the store!
6 - Reese's PB cups - they are $.74 ea. but also B3G3 free - I tried to use the B1G1 coupon from 8/23SS but the cashier said that it just will cancel out the free offer from Meijer and it did when he scanned it. I took them back and thanked him for telling me that. I think (I might try it tomorrow or Wed) that if I had taken 9, I would have paid for 3 and gotten 6 free.
9 - packs of Chinet lunch paper plates - $2.49 ea. - used 9 $2 coupons - 8/9SS and 9 MB $1 coupons. $.51 overage on each one! Thanks Michelle and Doug for the extra inserts that week!

My total before coupons was $71.94 and my oop was $11.77 and I got the $2 oyno cat!! Good trip!

I also did a separate transaction with 3 Country Time lemonades - these are the 19oz. ones. Same deal as the Kool-Aid on the go packs -you get a $2 cat when you buy 3. So, you can mix and match these in case your store doesn't have 3 boxes of the Kool-Aid on the go.

Last day of ConAgra deal

Don't forget - today is the last day of the ConAgra deal at Jewel! You must go today if you are going to get anymore pudding, cookies, oil, Pam, Rice Krispie treats, etc! A good one to do is the Keebler cookies - they are $2 each preferred price but $4.75 each "sale" price! Buy 6 of them, pay $12 and get back $10! If you have any coupons from 8/2 left, it could be a money maker!

Ok, the Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, GM deal started yesterday. I have a few crazy days ahead so I don’t know when I’ll get to Jewel but here is some info on it. You need to “spend” $20 and you will get a $5.00 catalina coupon good on your next order. Now, if you have been with me for a while, you know that these deals work on “sale” prices so you do not really have to spend $20. If you gamble and do this off of sale prices, please know that you are taking a risk and you CAN NOT go to customer service and complain that you did not get your cat. You did not do the deal the way the ad states so you should not complain. Just return the items right then and there or keep them and try again another time. Another deal going on at Jewel is the P&G deal. It runs from 9/3-9/13.
“Spend” $25, get $7.00 cat on your next order. I think I will be sitting this one out. It’s a lot of the larger sizes and so the price spread is not as great.
The 8/30PG insert has lots of coupons that match up with these items. If you got the Vocal Point coupons for the Bounce dryer bar this would be a good time to use those too if you wanted to try it out.

Target & Meijer

So Amanda and I make a quick run to Meijer tonight to get some Yoplait Delights yogurt - these are AMAZING!!! I thought the sale ended today but the tag said 9/27 which is good because of course, they were out - so I will have to go another day. Anyway, they are $2.19 each and you can print 2 $1 coupons on coupons.com or use the $1 coupon from 8/23SS and use the Meijer Mealbox coupon for $1/2 to make them $.69 each 4-pack. I had decided last week that I was not going to get these but my friend Cindy said they were really good so I decided to try them. Wow, these are like eating dessert and not yogurt and they are only 100 calories!

On the way to Meijer we made a quick stop at Target to get the Special K crackers that are part of the $5 gift card deal I wrote about a few days ago. The only crackers that are part of this deal are the 90 calorie pack ones. They are $2.39 each and coupons.com has a $1 coupon on there. The print limit on it is only 1 though! So, with 2 computers, I was able to get 2. If you have access to more computers, you can make it a great deal. Use the $1 coupons (as many as you have) with the Target $.50 off Special K grain coupon and it's a MM!! Four boxes was $9.56 less the $2 in mfg coupons and $2 in Target coupons - I paid $5.56 and got a $5 gift card! Good deal!

Also, if you got the Target coupon book in the mail last week with all of the coupons for their newer Up & Up line, there was an endcap with several things from this brand on clearance. I didn't have time to really check it out and see if their were any coupon matchups with that booklet though, sorry. I did notice that it was only 15% but as always, it will go to 30%, then 50%, then 75%. Take your booklet with you if you are going to Target, just in case!

The Fav 4 is a great deal - you buy 4 packages of included meat items and you will automatically get $4.10 discount. The key to this deal is to buy the cheapest packages available - you will still get the discount! So, I bought 4 pkgs of 2 Pub burgers instead of the packages with 4 burgers in the packaged priced at $6 each. So, my burgers were $10.77 instead of $24.00 and I got the same $4.10 discount! This ends tonight so go get some meat!

I do not do many rebates but I did do the same one in July and they send a check along with some good coupons right away. I am going to use the $2 coupon to buy my ice cream and then send in for the rebate! :-) We tried the Sedona - Amanda really liked them.

Today is the 1st of the month and that is when the Coupons.com, Smartsource.com coupons reset! There have been some good ones added too - check it out! If you see something you think you might buy, print it now. Most coupons have a print limit - meaning that they may only print 10,000 total so some coupons do not last long on there.

Also, today go to http://www.kronosfreegyros.com/ and see if there is a location by you that is participating in the Free Gyros today! The closest one to me is around 25 minutes away so I will not be participating but hopefully you can!

I think Jewel is trying to kill us!

I just read about another deal that starts on Thursday about another General Mills deal from 9/3/09-9/9/09! Here is the link: http://www.magnetic-media.com/jill/node/5094 There are soooooo many products with this one, many are the same as the $30/$15 deal at the beginning of August but some extra stuff included too. This one is buy $20 or more and get $5 cat so not as good as the last one but if you need some stuff off that list, this is the time to do it!

There is currently a J&J cat deal going at Jewel - it is in the Sunday ad. Spend $15/get $5. Remember Osco side items work on the Preferred price so there is no spread on them.
Some good deals are the Reach toothbrushes - 2/$5 - There were BOGO coupons in the 4/26RP and $2 coupon in the 6/14SS, if you have 3 of each coupon, you will pay $1.50 and get back a $5 cat.

Fav 4 meat deal is running too - this is usually a good one! You want to buy the smallest packets available at your store and the $4.10 discount will ring up at the end. So, if you get 4 packages that are priced $3 each, you will pay $12 but still get the $4.10 taken off at the register.

Lawry's taco seasoning packets - $.50 ea - buy 2 and use the $.50/2 coupon -8/30RP and they will be $.25 ea! I made tacos for dinner last night - yummy!


**People have been posting problems with the Chef BoyRdee pasta too. I guess some will ring up at more than $1 and those aren't working. I bought some in one of my deals and it didn't work either - I didn't return it, just kept it and figured it was a glitch in the system but maybe it was the pasta! That was the only new thing that was added to the order, the other things, I had bought before and they worked fine. I usually don't return stuff since I am running the deal on a gamble - I ended up paying under $10 for all of my stuff after coupons so it was still a good deal and in the long run with all of the MM's (money maker's) and free stuff we get, it's ok to pay for some items! :-)
