Jewel

There is a Kraft Buy 5 participating Kraft products, get a $5 OYNO cat deal going on starting today at Jewel.  Zesty Italian, Thousand Island, Ranch, and Catalina salad dressings are on sale for $1.34.

I went to Jewel twice today and did a total of four transactions.  I bought 5 Kraft salad dressings in each transaction and used the $.35 coupons that are right on the bottle.  This made each dressing $.99 each.  I received a $5 cat for buying 5 making them FREE!!  That's a great deal but it got better!  Right by the salad dressings in the aisle, not on the end cap, there is a tear pad with $1 off bread when you buy 2 participating items.  So, I went and "bought" two loaves of Jewel bread which are $.99 each - so I ended up with 5 dressings and 2 loaves of bread on each transaction and made $.07 each time! There are $1 coupons in the 6/20SS and I used 4 of those in one transaction making it a real MM but they expire today so if you have them, go use them!!!

Barb at Couponers Wanted has posted a whole list of the items included in this deal.  I know I need cheese so that is what I think I will get next - needed to concentrate on the dressing today. :-)

Jewel has been so boring lately that I am super excited about a deal!

Butera

There hasn't been a ton going on in the coupon world - the P&G deal at Jewel, eh, nothing too exciting.  There is a Kraft deal at Jewel through the 15th which I need to look into and once I do, I will post about it.  I have been busy, busy, busy getting things in order for the opening of our bakery business!  My friend Cindy and I are opening the business together and we have been busy looking at commercial kitchen spaces, finalizing the deal, insurance stuff and trying out a ton of new recipes!

So, I read on Couponers Wanted that this deal is going on at Butera and ran right out (it's about a 45 second drive from my house) to try it and it worked!  Eggo waffles are on sale for $.89 each - limit 3.  It is not 3 per flavor like Jewel or Dominicks, it is 3 total.  BUT..... if you buy 10, three will ring up at $.89 and the other seven will ring up at $1.29.  There is a $1/2 coupon in the 6/20RP & 7/18RP.  If you have 5 of them, you will pay $6.70 + tax and get a $10 cat back for the Kellogg's buy 10, get $10 deal!

That's another deal that is going on at several stores - Jewel, Butera, Meijer.  Buy any 10 Kellogg's, Keebler, Sunshine, Eggo and/or Morningstar Farms products (3.8 oz. or Larger, Any Flavor, Mix or Match) in one shopping order between 8/5 and 8/11 and save $10 on a future order with coupon.  I guess it started early!  I don't know if everything is working, but the Eggo's sure are.  I will check into the $10 cat deal a bit more and post about it.

Free produce & FREE BREAD!!

Alright, the produce coupon works great at Jewel - no beeps!  I did two transactions - one with some salad stuff and paid $1.xx and another one that included 2 bags of Wonderful Pistachios.  They are BOGO right now at Jewel.  I used 2 $1 coupons from http://www.getcrackin.com/coupon/ and so they ended up being $.99 for both bags!  Can't beat that!  So, print those coupons and go get some free or nearly free produce until the 26th! :-)

I didn't mention it in my post before because the code was not working for me - tried it many times - and I know people were having problems with this one.  I just tried again and it worked!  They are emailing the coupon though so it looks like they might have fixed the issues and we will not have multiple prints for this one.  It is a $3 bread coupon!  So, go to http://jewelosco.com/email and sign up again with your info but put free bread in for the code and you should get a confirmation saying that you will receive a coupon in your email!  Love FREE!!! :-)

Free produce at Jewel

Ok, hopefully you guys are more on the ball than I am and know about this already!  I read about a free produce Jewel coupon while I was away for a few days and then forgot about it when I came back.  I just looked it up and was able to print out some coupons.  As long as you don't close the window, you can print it multiple times.  I did read that if you did close your window, you can go back and re-enter your info and it will come up again.

Here is the link: http://jewelosco.com/email
Go there, sign up for emails (even if you have signed up in the past!) and you will be able to print a $2 off produce coupon!

I'm off to get some free salad stuff for dinner :-)

Happy Shopping!

Walgreens & CVS

Just got back from Walgreens & CVS - there is nothing too exciting this week but here are a few things.

Walgreens
--Colgate Total Advanced toothpaste - $3.49 - get $3.50 RR - there are coupons in the 6/27SS & 7/11SS  There is also supposed to be a $1 Walgreens coupon in the summer Diabetes & You magazine by the pharmacy but my store only had the spring edition.
--Pilot G2 Pens $.19 when you use $1 coupon from the Wags July coupon book.  Go to http://www.notjustapen.com/ to print a $1 mfg coupon - you will have to register and then they will email you the coupon - to make this a MM!  I was able to print two coupons.  Make sure to hand over the mfg. coupon first or it will beep!
--Ziploc sandwich and storage bags 2/$4 when you use the $1 coupon from the Wags July coupon book.  Go to http://www.boxtops4education.com/ and you can print a $1/2 coupon making them $1.50 each.  It's not the greatest deal but I needed some.

There are some school supplies deals:
$.09 ruler, 2 pocket folders, highlighter
$.29 1 subject notebooks, 2 pk erasers, 10 pk sheet protectors
$.49 3 pk glue sticks, jumbo glue stick or glue, poly portfolio, school box, bic brite highlighters - there actually is a coupon that is still valid in the 8/9/09 (yes, 09!)SS so if you have kept your inserts, you can find it there.

Keep an eye out at Office Max & Staples, they always have really good deals on school supplies!  Today, I sent Doug to get the $.25 index cards and Bic mechanical pencils and the copy paper that will be $1 after the Easy Rebate (which really is easy!).  There are several other things in the ad but that is all we needed - check it out!

CVS

--There is a Christophe conditioner on clearance (75% off) for $1.99 - some have reported that there were $2 coupons right in the area so look for that.  My store did not have the coupons and they were out of the conditioner.
--If you didn't use your BOGO M&M pretzel coupons a couple of weeks ago, here's your chance.  They are 2/$1 and get $1ecb when you buy 2 so you can make it a MM!  I used all my coupons.......too bad because I like these!
--Deans milk - $1.69 after $1ecb - don't forget that if you buy 5 gallons by the 24th (or maybe it was the 25th??) then you will get a coupon for a free gallon.
--Buy $10 in Revlon products and get $4ecb.  There are $1 coupons in today's SS and the ECB machine has been giving out $5/2 coupons so that could be a MM if you get that coupon!
--Sally Hansen cosmetics are BOGO at 50% off.  There are coupons in the 6/13RP & 6/27RP.  My store had nail polish that had a bonus attached to it which was a bottle of clear top coat!
--Celsius green tea - this is a calorie burning drink - I don't know, I just bought it because it was a $3 MM!  It's $7.99 and you get $7.99 ecb plus I used my $3 coupon from 4/25.  The limit is 1.  I have several coupons and  I never did find this at any Walgreens.  It is still a $1MM there through the end of the month.

That's about it.  Happy Shopping!

Softsoap

Here is a link to a $.50 coupon for Softsoap.  These go on sale for $1.00 a lot!

I tried but didn't win! :-(  Oh well, I shall try again tomorrow.....

Fla-Vor-Ice has an instant win game called the Flavor Finder Giveaway: http://jelsert.promo.eprize.com/giveaway/.  Again, didn't win!

Breyers has a Wheel of Delights instant win game. Go to http://www.breyers.com/.  You can win lots of great prizes like a day at the spa!  I would love that one!  Yes, AGAIN, I didn't win anything.  Today is just not my lucky day! :-)

Wendy's has a game called Summer of Real game. Enter your email address and enter this code 329492855844 in the “Wendy’s Cup Code” box. They will ask for your address, tel number, etc. and then you can spin the wheel. I won 30 My Coke Rewards points which it says is good for a FREE 20 oz. Coke.  They are sending an email - I assume with the code to enter into http://www.mycokerewards.com/.  If you drink Coke products and haven't signed up for the My Coke Rewards program, you should!  We have gotten a lot of free Coke coupons from it!

Honey Nut Cheerios also has an instant game going on.  Go to http://www.honeynutcheerios.com/ and play.  You could win 12 coupons (they say it's a years supply!) for Honey Nut Cheerios but even if you don't win, you will be able to print a $.75 coupon.

Again, thanks to Hip2Save.com for all of these!  Good luck, I hope you win!

Chicago Tribune Coupons

This week there will be only a Smart Source coupon insert, just so you are going crazy looking for your Red Plum! :-)

In the Parade magazine from the Chicago Tribune, there is a $1/2 coupon for Kellogg's Fiber Plus cereal or bars.  There is also a $.50 Walgreens coupon for any Walgreens brand over the counter medication.  There is a coupon for a FREE McDonald's 12oz. smoothie or frappe!  I love the frappe's but just don't look at the calorie & fat count!  I haven't been able to buy one since!  My daughter said the smoothies are good - I will have to try one of those!  There is also a $1 coupon on http://www.mcdonalds.com/us/en/promotions/Smoothies.html

Jewel

I can't believe I forgot to post this!

I went to Jewel and asked about the Finish dishwasher detergent deal.  If you look at Sunday's ad (little wrap around part), it shows a picture of the 12 ct. Quantum and the 20 ct. regular tabs but in the printing it says 12-20 ct Quantum for $2.99!! The customer service lady was super nice and did a price adjustment because the 20 ct. Quantum rings up over $6.  There is a $2.50 coupon in the 6/27SS.
Bring the ad with you and have them price adjust them - $.50 is a great deal!

Other than that, really the only good "deal" going on is the Edy's ice cream which I told you about.  I may go get another 2 tubs because I have some Walgreens RR's I need to use up.

Monday, July 5, 2010

Thanks to a post on Couponers Wanted, I went to Walgreens this morning and got 8 L'Oreal items for just over $10 including tax!  There are some clearance items for $3.79 each.  There are $1 coupons in the 4/25RP & in the 6/20RP.  There is also a $1 coupon in the Walgreens July coupon book.  Warning though, that coupon will beep and come up as not available but the two Walgreens I went to just did a price adjustment on the items so I did get a $1 off each.  The L'Oreal is Buy 1, Get 1 50% off but the clearance stuff did not ring up that way.  Still, $1.32 per item is not bad in my book :-)

I also stopped at the CVS in Bartlett and picked up a bunch of the Pretzel M&M's that are part of the spend $10, get $3 CVS bucks.  I had 9 BOGO coupons so I used them all plus a $.50 CVS coupon for a Milky Way, added a Snickers that Alex wanted and I was at the $10.  So, $2.00 for 20 individual candy bars/bags is not too bad.

CVS also has the Sobe Life Water BOGO so you can get 2 for free for each coupon you were able to print from the game I told you about the other day!

Happy Shopping!

Tyson Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts - $6.99 for a 3 lb box

Frito-Lay Multi Pack - $4.49 each - (limit 2) - $1.00 coupon in an insert within the last couple of weeks - sorry can't check right now!

Happy Shopping!

LOTS of Sobe BOGO coupons!

Go to this link:

http://headsortails.sobe.com/
Play the game and if you win, you will win a BOGO Sobe coupon. If you keep going back on the window that pops up with your coupon print, you can print 24 coupons! Just make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off and if you can switch your printer to only black ink, that would be good because it prints a lot in color and wastes your ink.

According to sati769leigh over at Couponers Wanted, she was able to print 30!  Some people are only able to print 1, some 25, etc. so I guess it's what you win. I won 24!! You can play the game daily too.

I am hoping that Target does their buy 10, get $5 gift card soon. That would be great!

Good luck!

Wednesday, June 30, 2010

Well, I have been to 5 Walgreens today and can not find the Celsius Green Tea to save my life!  I had no luck finding the socks or Blistex either.  Oh well.  I did find 4 Noxema razor packs (one of them has a $2 coupon inside!) and the deodorant and toothpaste.  So, all in all, I did ok and made a few dollars.  I did not run out of my way, it was a busy day and I just stopped at the Wags that were along the way.  I would not run around if I were you and waste the gas since most likely they are all pretty much out.  I will check again on Friday if I am out and about.

Now off to figure out my Jewel deals for tomorrow - some stuff looks promising!

Happy Shopping!

Walgreens

Headed out to Walgreens and here is what I see that is good in the ad:

-- Vanity Fair or Dixie tableware - 2/$5 get $1RR -- use $1/2 coupon from 5/23 or if you wait until 7/1, there will be a $1 Dixie coupon in the Jewel ad.  There is also a $1 coupon for Vanity Fair in the Dominick's June Savings booklets
-- Spend $15, get $3RR for Kraft/Nabisco products - there are coupons for the lunchables, Nabisco crackers and Deli Creations in the 5/16SS.  If you have enough of the Deli Creations or Lunchables coupons and will use these, that might work out ok, otherwise, it's not that great of a deal.
-- Dentyne - 3/$.99 after Wags coupon - use $1 coupon (hand over first!) and get all 3 free.  I am not sure if you could use 3 $1 coupons or not.  It would be a legit way to use coupons but the system (or cashier!) may not let you.
-- Johnson & Johnson floss, Listerine (3.2oz) or Reach crystal clean toothbrush are $.99 with the Wags coupon.  There are $1 coupons in the 10/4RP & 10/18RP - these expire 6/30!  Now,  7/1-7/31 there will be a Cat deal on Reach toothbrushes.  Buy 2, get $1 - buy 3, get $2 or buy 4+, get $3.  If you use your coupons (there are some in the 3/7RP, 4/11RP & 5/16RP) and the Wags ad coupon, it could turn into a great MM!!  I don't know if these single toothbrushes are in the Cat deal yet though.
-- Blistex Fruit Smoothies lip care - $2.99, get $2.99RR - look for the ones with a bonus stick and get 4 for free!
--Flexitol Blistop - $5, get $5RR - not sure how this works, is it liquid or is it like a band-aid thing????
-- Airplus Ultra Moisturizing socks - $3, get $3RR - this is being reported as generating the RR now.

On Wednesday, there will be a 4 day ad (6/30-7/3) and there will be some good deals!  I got my info from http://www.couponerswanted.com/ so go there if you would like to check out the entire ad.  Here are some of the highlights that I see:

--Dove deodorant - $1.99 - I have a $2 printable from somewhere but I don't know where I got it so check your coupons
--Crest toothpaste - $3, get $3RR - $1 coupon in 6/27RP
--Sure deodorant - $1.99, get $1RR - $1.50 coupon in 5/2SS
--Celsius Green Tea - $3.99, get $3RR - $3 coupon in 5/23SS
--Noxzema Triple blade disposable razors - $3.99 get $3RR - $2 coupon in 5/23RP
--Reynolds Wrap - 20 ft. - $.89 with Wags ad coupon
--Then there's the Reach toothbrush deal I told you about above

If I come across any more things, I will edit this post.

Happy Shopping!

Someone posted on Couponers Wanted that there is a RR deal from 6/27-7/31 - Spend $5 in Kelloggs products, get a $2RR - included are Cheez-Its 7.5-9oz, Club crackers 16oz, Pecan Sandies 16oz, Fudge Stripes 11.5oz., Soft Batch 12 oz, EL Fudge 15oz, Rice Krispie treats 8 count, Fudge Shoppe Right Bites 6 ct.  These are not on sale in the ad but I would assume they would be going on sale soon and could be before it's advertised so keep an eye out on those products.

Walgreens

I wanted to let you know that the socks that are supposed to be free after RR at Walgreens are not working.  Well, they were not this morning anyway.   We have had a really busy day and on the way to our first stop, we ran in and I picked some up.  I did not get the RR and so the manager tried to do a transaction with just the socks.  It still did not work so he just refunded me $3.00.  It did not work for another customer in the other line too so beware.  Make sure you look at your RR's when you check out.

Shortcuts.com

***Edited***

There is a $.50 Goldfish coupon at this link:
http://promotion.familytime.com/F10GF2H/default.aspx
Print them now though because it is working as of right now - I just printed two coupons but this coupon has been on and off for days now so print them while you can!

Go to http://www.shortcuts.com/ and load the Goldfish ecoupons.  There is a $.75 ecoupon for the Graham Goldfish and a $.50 ecoupon for the regular Goldfish.  They will be on the 3-day sale at Dominick's (starting tomorrow) for $.88 each!  Hopefully the graham ones are included.

I also saw it posted on Couponers Wanted that Prince pasta was on clearance for $.45 each because Dominick's is no longer going to be carrying it.  I don't know if it is at all locations, but it's worth looking for while you are there getting some cheap Goldfish!

Tuesday, June 22, 2010

Wow, I guess I did kind of desert my blog and I apologize! The month of May was just insane with, staff appreciation at the middle school, Amanda's Prom, end of the school year PTO stuff - it was my last year as PTO co-president, Alex graduated 8th grade! and the big 8th grade dance which was a hit thanks to the hard work of a lot of moms and dads. I think there was about 5 days in the entire month that there was not something on the calendar! I was getting ready for a big party and our vacation so May was just nutty! So far this month has been busy - not crazy busy - fun busy.
June 2nd, Doug and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary - well, we actually celebrated on June 4th. We had a party at my sister's house with lots of family and friends - some that were there 20 years ago at our wedding and some that we have become close with over the past 20 years. There is a funny story about our wedding and this was the reason that we had the party - it was actually the first time that we officially said our vows to each other. A few days before our wedding, our Pastor told us that he was not able to officiate our wedding and that he would have someone else there for us. When the time came in the ceremony for the vows, the Pastor started them but thought he made a mistake and so he went on to something else and never came back to that part. We did not notice until my mother-in-law told us after we got home from our honeymoon. She was the only one that noticed and did not want to interrupt the wedding. So, fast forward 20 years, two houses, two kids and a whole lot of cherished memories and we said our vows to each other for the first time. We also "renewed" our commitment to each other by saying new vows to each other too. My brother Rick is in college studying to become a Pastor (he will graduate next May) and he officiated the vow ceremony. It was beautiful and it meant a lot to us that he was the one to "marry" us this time! Mike and Cindy (brother-in-law and sister) went above and beyond to make our party so wonderful! Mike built a trellis that Rick, Doug, the kids and I stood under and they set up the yard to look amazing! There were lights and special touches everywhere. My sister flew my mom in from Puerto Rico as a surprise for me which was GREAT!!!
We then set off on a family second honeymoon to Disney World. We took off the very next morning (ok, later that morning since we didn't get home until about 1:30am) - we packed up the car and started driving. We stayed at Doug's dad's house in Kentucky and had a quick visit then took off the next morning arriving in Orlando at around 11:30 on Sunday night. We stayed for 7 days in a rental house and had an amazing time! It was very hot but it was nice to be able to eat breakfast before heading out to the parks, come back after lunch and swim or take a nap and then head back to the parks after it cooled down a bit. The area we stayed at was a 10 minute drive to the parks and well worth having so much room! It was a nice 4 bedroom house with a pool, fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, TV with cable in every room, etc. I love staying on Disney property but let me tell you, driving around to the parks yourself is so much faster than Disney transportation and to have a house to come back to instead of a room with 2 beds and 1 TV was soooo nice! Well worth the 10 minute drive - actually Disney transportation always took longer to get back to our hotel so I think this is the way we will always do it from now on. We spent our last day in the parks and then drove into Georgia where we stayed in a hotel then the next day drove back to the in laws and had a great time. The kids built a fire, we sat around and talked for hours catching up. We got back on Tuesday night so we were gone for almost 11 days and of course there was a ton to catch up on and I had a cake decorating birthday party for 14 girls (ages 6-7) on Saturday to get ready for. My mom stayed with us until Sunday when she went back to Puerto Rico so we were able to have some time together and she helped me around here which was really nice.
So, the last couple of days, I have been trying to catch up on coupon stuff! There is a lot I have missed but I am not dwelling on that, I am looking forward! :-)

I made it to Walgreens today for a few items:

--Lysol toilet bowl cleaner - BOGO at $2.99 - used $1 coupon from 6/6SS and got a $1 RR so $.50 each!
--7 packages of Reese's peanut butter cups (8 pack) - $.99 each with Wags ad coupon - received $5 RR so $2.93 for all 7 packs! Amanda will appreciate these while she is away next month!
--ReNu saline solution - $7.49 - used $2 coupon from 6/6SS and got a $7.50RR so MM!!
--Herbal Essence hair spray - $2.99 - used a $1 coupon from 5/16RP and received $2 RR so free!

Working on CVS and Jewel and plan to run out in a little bit for just a few things.
I'm glad I am back on the couponing track and will continue to keep updating my blog now that I have the summer off and hopefully some "down" time! :-)

Happy Shopping!

Old Navy

My friend Sherry told me about this at work today. On Saturday - 5/22 - Old Navy will have their flip flops on sale for $1.00! It is my understanding from other deals like this (tank tops, t-shirts, etc.) that they get pretty crazy on these days. I remember reading that someone had gone and bought the items the day before the sale and then went back with her receipt and got a price adjustment on the sale day. This way they did not have get there super early to fight the crowds trying to find their size. Just a thought.....

Good luck & Happy Shopping!

Butera

The Elgin Butera (Clock Tower Plaza) has been remodeled and they are having a Grand Re-Opening sale to celebrate! The best part is that the prices are good at the Algonquin & South Elgin stores too!

So, here is what I bought:

1 gallon milk - $.99 with coupon in ad (additional $5 purchase required)
2 dozen eggs - $.39 each (no coupon required)
15 Powerade drinks - Buy 7 at $1 each and get 8 FREE!!!
2 Piggly Wiggly White Bread - BOGO for $.90
1 12 pk Miller light (bottles) - $7.29 - I don't drink beer so I have no idea if this is a good price or not but that is the cheapest price out of all the ads this week and I need it for a party.
2 Italian loaves of bread (this is good stuff!) BOGO for $1.99
Strawberries - $1.50
Romaine lettuce - $.69
3 Avocados - 3/$1 Great Price!!
Deans Orange Juice - $.99

The deli was closed otherwise I would have gotten some Krakus ham which is $1.49 for a half pound.
Food Club sugar is $1.49
Bananas are $.29 a pound - I am not usually fond of the bananas at the S. Elgin Butera so I didn't buy them.

Hope you get to go to Butera this week! Happy Shopping!

I finally made it to Jewel for a few transactions. This cat deal does NOT stack so you must do separate transactions to get multiple cats. You will only get one $5 coupon per transaction. The deal is - buy $20 in participating products and receive a $5 coupon good on your next order plus 50 bonus Box Tops.

Just like in the past, you can use the "sale" price to reach your $20. Jewel has three prices on most products: shelf, sale and Preferred price. In the ad it will show the Preferred price but you can use the Sale price to reach $20 - this is usually not the same price as the shelf price, sometimes it is but most of the times, it's off just a little bit - so make sure you scan your products at YOUR store at the price checker to find out what your stores sale price is. It can vary from store to store. If you do not get your $5 cat, there are several reasons this could have happened - the Catalina system was down momentarily, you picked up the wrong sized item, your sale price was not what you thought and you missed it by a few cents, etc. If this happens, you can either just take the stuff home and try again or you can return the items to customer service right then. Please don't take it home and return the items, once it leaves the store - they must throw the product away! Also, DO NOT complain to customer service, you are taking a risk by working the deal AGAINST the ad so they will tell you that the $20 must be in Preferred prices and that is the way it is advertised.

Transaction 1: 7 Suddenly Salads ($1 Preferred price/ $2.95 "sale" price), used 6 $.40 coupons so my OOP was $4.60 plus tax and I got the $5 cat coupon back! Money Maker!

Transaction 2: 21 Yoplait yogurts ($.50 Preferred/$.68 "sale"), used $2.25 in coupons. Plus 2 Suddenly Salads - I received the $5 cat PLUS a $2 cat for a double dip deal going on now where when you buy 20 Yoplait yogurts, you get $2! So, I paid $10.25 plus tax and received $7 back!

Transaction 3: 4 Cookie Crisp cereals, 1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 1 Suddenly Salad (used 2 $1.50/2 cereal coupons, 1 $.55 Cinnamon Toast Crunch coupon, 1 $.40 Suddenly Salad coupon) - paid $7.00 plus tax and received my $5 cat!

I plan on making it back tomorrow and do a few more transactions - I'll let you know how it goes.

Here is a list of participating products pictured in the ad. www.couponerswanted.com has a detailed UPC list available on their site.

Restaurant.com

www.restaurant.com has a new 80% off promotional code: ENJOY

Use this code to take 80% off of a $25 Gift Certificates and you will pay $2!

The code is good through 5/13.

We love Restaurant.com. You can get a great meal for little money! The last one we used was Ted Montana's Grill by Woodfield Mall - it was really good food, good service and our bill was super low! Love it!

Kmart

I do not have a Kmart close to me so I won't be doing this one but it's a good one so I thought I would post it for those of you that do have a Kmart by you.

I can't remember what site I saw this on but Kmart has Infusium 23 Hair Care products on a BOGO free sale. It says prices start at $5.99 - if you buy 2 of those products and use 2 $3 coupons from the 5/9SS, both would be FREE!

I have been out of the coupon loop so I have not seen this coupon but I guess it is out there on the Internet and is fraudulent so if you have printed it - please throw it out!
Here is the statement from Frito Lay:

The $5 Doritos coupon that is being spread throughout the Internet is counterfeit. It was not created, authorized or distributed by Frito-Lay. We are taking steps to notify our retail customers about the fraudulent coupon and to identify its source. You should not knowingly use a counterfeit coupon. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and confusion this has caused. Please watch for valid coupons and sales in stores, magazines, Sunday newspaper ads, and on our official websites.

I swear I have not deserted you! It has been three Wednesday's in a row that I did not even open my newspapers to look at the ads! I have just taken out the coupon inserts on Sunday's and put them in a pile - haven't even looked at those ads. Things have been nuts around here - well, it usually is but more nuts than normal! Doug has been working a ton and with painting and redecorating the house, staff appreciation for the middle school, and prom, I just have not been home much and when I am, I am baking or trying to catch up on things! As of today, staff appreciation is over, Prom is tonight (my daughter looked beautiful and her boyfriend looked so handsome!) The house is almost in order - still have a ton to do but for now, we are just doing the final touches on a few things. The crown molding and replacing the back door are next but those will have to wait until my wonderful brother-in-law can get back here to do that with a bit of Doug's help.

I am so thankful for my stockpile but it has dwindled down to nothing! So, I need to catch up and start doing some deals! My goal on Mother's Day is to go to church, have my family over for a nice early dinner and then get on the Internet and make my shopping list for the week! I will write up what I find for you on Sunday night or Monday morning.

Thanks for sticking it out with me during this overly busy time in our household! Happy Shopping!

Now, this ConAgra deal should work like the cat deals have always worked at Jewel. No guarantees but here is how it has worked: You can use the "sale" price to get to your $25.00 instead of using the Preferred price. Now, there are three prices at Jewel - Shelf, Sale and Preferred. ALWAYS scan your item at the price checker and you use that SALE price to calculate your totals. If there are only two prices, use the sale price. Items on the Osco side of the store will usually work on the Preferred price though. Also, "sale" prices vary from store to store, sometimes only by a few cents but that will throw your total off so always, always check your items!
Remember of course, that you are doing the deal against the ad and so YOU are take the RISK of not getting your Catalina coupon for some reason. Sometimes it's because you added wrong, picked up the wrong size product, the Catalina system is down, etc. If you do not get your Cat, please do not complain to Customer Service! You are doing this against the ad and therefore taking the risk! Either politely return the items, right then and there, (otherwise they have to throw out the product if you take it out of the store) or just take it home and take the loss. That is what I usually do - I took the risk, it didn't work out, I keep the product. I figure I have saved so much money, it's not a big deal if it doesn't work out from time to time.

Happy Shopping!
Because I don't have little ones anymore, I kinda just pass by the info I read about diapers, wipes, baby products, etc. but I know some of you have little ones so I am going to try to pay more attention to those and put them on here! Here is a link for a $3/1 Huggies coupon that I saw on www.hip2save.com!

Meijer

I don't shop at Meijer very often but here are a few good deals this week that I have read about on several sites so I guess I will be stopping in this week!

Go to: http://www.meijermealbox.com/ where you will find a $1 coupon for the 5 pack of Kraft Mac 'n Cheese. I don't know the price in this area but on Savingaddiction.com they are reported to be $1.89 after the coupon. On the box there should be a Peelie coupon for a FREE box of Capri Sun Roarin' Waters when you buy the 5 pack box of Mac 'n Cheese! There is also a catalina deal going on when you buy 2 Capri Suns and 1 Nabisco Snack Tray (12 pack) so if you buy 2 Kraft boxes and get the 2 Capri Suns and add one of these Nabisco snacks, you will get a $3.00 Cat good on your next order! Good deal!

http://www.savingaddiction.com/ also reports that Meijer has Breakstone Cottage Cheese Doubles around $1 each. There is a Cat deal that when you buy 3 or more participating products (Nabisco 100 Cal Packs (there is a coupon on Meal Box for these & a mfg coupon in 3/21SS too!), South Beach Living Bars, Kraft 100 Cal Cheese Packs, JELL-O Pudding and Gelatin Snack 6 pks, Breakstones Cottage Cheese 4pk, Breakstone Cottage Cheese Doubles) you will get a $3.00 Cat good on your next order! Plus there is a $1/3 coupon on http://www.meijermealbox.com/ so if you have 3 insert coupons and 1 Meal Box coupon, you will pay $.02 for all three boxes!

Thanks http://www.couponerswanted.com/!

Sunday, April 11, 2010

For a coupon for a free box of Kraft's new Cheesy Explosion Mac 'n Cheese, become a fan on Facebook. Here is the link:
http://www.facebook.com/kraftmacaroniandcheese?v=app_7146470109&ref=nf

You will receive the coupon in the mail.

Walgreens

I am working on the deals for Walgreens and CVS but I just read something on Jill Cataldo's site that I wanted to let you know about right away! The $5.00/2 Benadryl coupon from today's RP is coded the same as the RR so by using that coupon, you will NOT get your RR! I guess the system is thinking that the coupon is the RR and therefor not giving you another RR. So, wait to do that deal - hopefully they will fix that glitch soon.

**Edit** Use that coupon at Target! The Benadryl Itch Stick is only $2.54. So, buy two of them and pay $.08! Thanks Hip2Save!

Saturday, April 10, 2010

Doug and I are having a rare date night! We are on our way to dinner (with a Restaurant.com gift certificate!) then shopping for some curtains. Of course I'll have to stop at Walgreens to do the last of my deals :-)
I just wanted to let you know that there are some good coupons in this weeks inserts so you may want to pick up an extra newspaper.

I went to CVS tonight for my sister who wanted the Alvin & The Chipmunks DVD. The store's by her were all out of them and told her they could not give her a rain check for the $15 off the movie even if she bought the P&G items now and got the movie later. I am not sure why they would tell her that - that's very strange! Anyway, she called my store and they held it until I could pick it up for her, which was really nice of them. While there I picked up my free saline solution and I did the John Frieda deal. It worked just like Hip2Save posted - bought three $4.99 items, used my coupons and got the ecb's! Just wanted to let you know that it works!
Here are the Jewel deals I see starting today!

Three day sale - 4/8-4/10

2lb strawberries - $2.99
Choice beef Fresh cut bone-in strip steak or farm raised tilapia - $4.99/lb.
Powerade or Powerade Zero - $.59 - limit 12.
Jewel white or wheat bread - $.88

--Fav4!! Barb at Couponers Wanted has posted a UPC list of what is included in the sale. Go to http://www.couponerswanted.com/ for the info. Buy 4 packages of meat included in the deal and get an instant $4.10 discount! For previous posts on this deal use the search box on the right. Now, I did try this morning and did not get the discount! I don't know if there was a glitch or what, I made sure the UPC's matched. I did see some comments others made that they had trouble too so if you do not get the $4.10 discount after the fourth package of meat is scanned, then you can either take them off your order or just buy them anyway.
***It looks like it was not entered in the system yet this morning and that's why it didn't discount the $4.10. Seems to be working fine now according to CW***

--Cuties clementines 5lb box -$4.88 - $1 coupon in the 3/14SS
--Post cereal - $1.49. It says selected varieties and a limit of 4. There is still the catalina deal going on until 4/19 for the Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles. (Buy 3, get $2 - buy 4, get $3 - buy 5+, get $4) Since it has a limit of 4, you could buy 4 for $5.96. Use 2 $1/2 coupons from 2/28SS or 3/14SS and you would get back a $3 cat! That would be around $.25 each. Sounds good to me!
--Fresh Express premium romaine, green & crisp or spinach - 2/$4
--Dannon yogurt cups - 10/$5. There are coupons in the 3/14SS or 3/28SS
--Personally I don't find the Fav 4 (4/$10) deal that great because we really don't buy the things included but if you do, then you may want to know that the Lunchables and Jewel bacon (16oz) are part of the YourBucks deals! If you don't know what YourBucks is then go here:
http://tv.catalinamarketing.com/ and sign up! It goes through 5/4 and they have had some great deals! We have gotten lots of stuff for FREE but you can still sign up and take advantage of the last few deals.

--Sargento shredded cheese - $1.99. http://www.coupons.com/ has a coupon
--Activia is 2/$4. I missed the deal last week but it's the same. Buy 2 of them, use 2 $1 coupons from the 2/28SS or 3/28SS or you can print $1 coupon at http://www.activia.us.com/. So, you will pay $2.00 OOP but if you signed up for YourBucks - you will get a $2 cat so FREE!!
--Jewel Oyster Crackers - $1.00
--Jewel English Muffins - $.99
--Mama Bella garlic bread - BOGO at $1.99

Pantene shampoo or conditioner - $1.99 after ecb - use coupons from the 3/7PG or 4/4PG

Stride Shift gum - FREE after ecb - used mystery coupon from 3/14SS

Save $15 on Alvin & The Chipmunks movie when you buy $20 in P&G products. If you are going to get the movie and need some of the products, you can do ok with this deal. Use the coupons from the 3/7PG or 4/4PG

HP Inkjet print cartridges - buy two and get $10 ecb's! If you have an HP this could bring down the cost of your ink!

Clairol Natural Instincts or Loving Care - $3.99 after ecb - use the $3 coupon from the 4/4PG

Skintimate - $.99 after ecb - good price if you need it. We are still using all of the free ones from Walgreens a few months ago!

Colgate Total toothpaste - $.99 after ecb - there is a $.75 coupon on www.colgate.com - click on special offers

Baby Sale - Spend $25, get $10 ecb's - I don't know too much about this because we are WAY past needing baby items but www.hip2save.com and www.mashupmom.com and www.jillcataldo.com have good scenarios as well as coupon match-ups. I have also read that people are getting CVS coupons from the CVS coupon machine today and are able to stack that with a manufacturers coupon to make this even better.

Complete saline solution - FREE after ecb's!

Excedrin - $2.50 - use coupons from 2/28SS

*****This one is not in the ad but I saw it on www.hip2save.com and have copied and pasted it here from the site - thanks Collin!

Spend $15 on John Frieda products = $5 Ecb (limit 1)

Deal Scenario:
Buy 3 John Frieda Collection Shampoo & Conditioners $4.99 each
Total = $14.97
Use 3 $3/1 coupons from the 3/7 SS
Pay $5.97
Get back a $5 Ecb
Final cost ONLY $0.97 for all 3!

**Note: The total of $14.97 is $0.03 short of $15, however, it has been confirmed that it will still produce the $5 Extra Care buck even though it’s less!

Walgreens

What is it that they say, "better late than never"? Well, here are the good deals at Walgreens (I'm working on the CVS deals) for this week - a little late. :-)

Dawn dish soap - $.99 with Wags ad coupon - use the $.50 coupon in the 4/4 PG

Mars Candy - $.39 with Wags ad coupon - I like to keep a few Snickers on hand for my Taffy Apple Salad!

Starbucks Frappuccino is 4/$5 with Wags ad coupon - you can print a $1 coupon from here: http://www.frappuccino.com/ (print 2 by going back) by entering your name and city and where Frappuccino takes you (I had to laugh at this)

Pilot Erasable Frixion pens or Pilot Frixion Highlighters are $.19 when you use the $1 coupon from the Walgreens April coupon booklet (up by the registers and front door) - some have reported finding a $4.50 rebate when you buy three on the back of the package. If you find this, it's a great MM!

Buy three Aveeno products - they are on sale 25% off and get the Aveeno Travel Essentials Kit FREE! I did this last year (the coupons were a bit better but this is still pretty good. Go to https://www.aveeno.com/skincare/skincare-register for a $3/2 coupon good on Positively Nourishing skincare products or to https://www.aveeno.com/daily-moisturizing-lotion-register.jsp for a $1 coupon good on Daily Moisturizing lotion. Make sure to turn off your pop up blocker before you request the coupons!

Garnier Fructis - buy $20, get $10RR back. So, buy 6 of them and use 6 coupons (if you have multiple inserts and/or can print that many coupons). You will pay $14 and get back a $10 RR!!
$1 coupon at:
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?tqnm=zcvkdvz79823960&bt=vg&o=61862&c=GF&p=f2JWrpPm or in 3/7RP

Oral B Cross Action Pro Health toothbrush is part of an RR deal. Buy 3 for $9.00 and get $3.00 RR (must buy 3) If you have them, use three $2.00 Cross Action coupons from the 4/4 PG and you will pay $3.00 and get a $3.00 RR so FREE!

U by Kotex Feminine Care is $3.49 with a $2.50RR, so $99 after RR. Use the $1 coupon from April's All You mag from this link: http://www.ubykotex.com/get_coupons/print (print 2 by going back) to make it FREE!

I did not see this in the ad but Jill Cataldo has reported that the Velveeta Shells & Cheese cups are on sale for $1.00 each. If you buy four, you will get back a $1.50 RR. You can use two BOGO coupons from www.smartsource.com and you will pay $.50 for all four!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter everyone! I hope you had a wonderful day with your friends and families. I am so grateful to Jesus Christ for all He went through for US!

We have been doing some redecorating and cleaning out of the basement so that is why I have not had time to post on here. I haven't even gone on any blogs for three days! We still have a lot to do so posts on here for the next few days will be a bit slow. I will try to get some info on here tomorrow morning before work.

I did want to remind you about the Free Nabisco Cookies coupon if you are Nabisco Cookies fan on Facebook. They put out a coupon the First Monday of Each Month!

So, for Monday April 5, 2010 - TODAY ONLY, print a coupon for a FREE package of Nabisco cookies when you buy 1 package of Nabisco Cookies and 1 gallon of milk. Go to the Milk and Cookies tab to get the coupon. Good news is that you can redeem it through April 23! Go to:
http://www.facebook.com/?ref=home#!/nabiscocookies?v=app_344901331467&ref=nf to get your coupon! You are able to print two of them by clicking on the "print coupon" again - after your first prints. Don't click twice or you will get an error message and not be able to print another.

I think they might just have a sign with my picture at my local Walgreens this week to not let me in the store because I keep going in there and getting stuff for free or almost free! They are having a 4 day sale (Wed-Sat) and here is one of the deals! I am stopping on my way to work to do this one - I love John Frieda hair products! For the rest of the 4 day sale deals, please go to www.hip2save.com - Collin has a great post with all of the deals.

John Frieda Hair Care 3 for $15, get a $5 RR - use 3 - $3 coupons from 3/7SS. You will pay $6 and get a $5 RR! That's only $.33 each! Wow!

Tuesday, March 30, 2010

Ok, so I ran out to Walgreens to get my Scrubbing Bubbles and did two transactions. I don't normally do that, usually they are busy and I just like to stay under the radar as much as possible but the sales clerk was at the cosmetic counter and she is a super nice lady so I decided to do two and go to her.

Transaction #1

Dulcolax - $10, used $3 coupon
Ice Mountain water - $1.79 - free with coupon
Dove hair spray - $4 - used $1.50 coupon
Scrubbing bubbles extend a clean - $7.99 - used $5 IP coupon
Walgreens Mens vitamins - $3 - no coupon

Paid $16.65 OOP (only had Dove RR's and didn't want to chance not getting another one) and received $ 19 in RR's! ($10 RR for Dulcolax, $4 RR for Dove, $2 RR for Scrubbing bubbles & $3 RR for vitamins)

Transaction #2 - basically the same

By the way, I am donating all of the Dulcolax!

So since I was out I ran across the street to CVS. I read on www.hip2save.com about the Stayfree pads deal. Here's what I got:

6 - 2 ltr Coke products - $6 - used 2 $1/3 hangtag coupons I got when I bought Vitamin Water a few weeks ago at Walgreens
3 Listerine - used 2 $1 IP coupons and 1 $3/3 CVS coupon I told you about
4 Stayfree pads - $3.89 each - used 2 BOGO coupons from 1/3RP and 2 $2/1 coupons from 3/28RP - received $8 ecb for buying 4 so $4.22 MM!!! Love it! - this deal ends 3/31 as do the coupons so if you are going to do it, go tomorrow!
1 trial size CVS healing skincare lotion - used $2 CVS coupon from the CVS Reinventing Beauty magazine which expires 3/31 so they should have a new one out soon.
2 Stacy's Pita chips - $3.29 each - used BOGO IP coupon (no longer available)

Paid with $5 in ecb's and $9.23 OOP and received the $8 ecb for the Stayfree

Thank goodness I have a Walgreens and a CVS one minute from my house so I can run out and do a few deals quickly when I want to! :-)

Happy Shopping!

Scrubbing Bubbles at Walgreens

I just got an email from Right @ Home with a $5 coupon for Scrubbing Bubbles Power Sprayer! This is the same one that I posted about being on sale at Walgreens for $7.99 with a $2 RR. As I said before, there is a $3 coupon in the April All You magazine but this one is better - using the coupon, it would only be $.99! Yay! Here is the link to the coupon:

http://www.rightathome.com/offers/2010-03-electron-bfpfe/?sid=coupon&cid=bfpfe201003electron&rid=&om_rid=ATSQtq&om_mid=_BLsev1B8GuDO8e&

Dove at Walgreens

Someone posted on Jill Cataldo's site that the Dove RR is not rolling. It was posted today at 7:15am. I rolled mine last night and it worked. I don't know if it was a glitch in the Catalina system for that person or maybe the Cat machine was not working. I wanted to let you know so that if you do try it today, you MAY NOT get another RR. I think I will play it safe and not try to roll it again. :-)

Monday, March 29, 2010

Wow I feel normal!

I'm laughing because I did all of my gathering of coupons today and ran around to Walgreens, Jewel and CVS - I feel normal! I missed so much while I was sick and then on vacation. :-)

Here is what I ended up with:

Walgreens

1 Dulcolax - $10 - used $4 IP coupon
1 Ice Mountain water - Free - used free water wyb Dulcolax coupon
4 Dove deodorants - $14 - used 2 $3/2 IP coupons
1 Dove Hair spray - $4 - used $1.50 coupon
1 Biore nose strips - $7.99
1 Biore facial scrub - FREE - used free cleanser wyb strips coupon
3 Easter candy as fillers for RR's I used ($4, $7, $3 RR's)

Total OOP - $15.33
Received $23 in RR! ($10 RR for Dulcolax, $4 RR for Dove hair spray, $4 RR for Dove deodorant, $5 RR for Biore)

I finally found the Lighthouse caramel dip - they had 1 on the shelf. The coupon beeped and the cashier called over the manager - while waiting, the other cashier came up and looked it all over and told her to just enter it as $1 mfg. coupon. Well, she didn't and then the photo guy comes up and looks at it all and says, "well that's because it would be free". I say "no, I use coupons to make stuff free all of the time." So I told her to just remove it from the order, it's not worth it.

Jewel

11 Ice Mountain 6 packs - $1 each - buy 10, get 11th free - used 5 $1/2 coupons from 3/7RP
4 Frosted Mini Wheats & 3 Apple Jacks - used 1 $.70 blinkie, 3 $1/2 coupons from 3/7RP -- there are $1.50/2 IP coupons from http://www.redplum.com/ and http://www.coupons.com/ but I couldn't find them - of course I found them when I got home!
5 Cocoa Pebbles & Fruity Pebbles - used 2 $1/2 coupons from 3/14SS - all 5 of these will be FREE after the 2 cats I receive!
2 Nestle Coffee Mate Creamers -used 2 $.75 coupons from 2/7RP & 1 Jewel $1/2 coupon (not available anymore)
1 Culinary Circle Pizza
2 Jewel Butter
8 Philadelphia Cream Cheese - used $1/2 coupons from the Bud Light coupons book awhile ago - there are $.55/2 coupons at this link:
http://bricks.coupons.com/Start.asp?bt=vg&tqnm=zbhqdba56032815&o=60136&c=KR&p=sFQx4Yl6
1 Jewel Whipped Cream - $1 Avenu discount applied
1 Hershey's syrup - no coupon
2 Suave deodorant - used 1 $3/2 IP coupon from http://content.dove.us/dimensions/coupons.aspx
1 32 oz Yoplait peach yogurt - used $.55 IP coupon
1 Splenda 50 ct. pack
Bananas
2 - McCormick Vanilla - used 2 - $1 IP coupons from http://www.coupons.com/ if you don't see it, use zip code 62946
2 Jewel Sugar
1 Cooks ham - used $1 coupon from April All You mag & $8 Jewel coupon from ad

I used 3 -$10 RR's from Walgreens and my OOP was $27.47. I received $19.75 plus 3 free gallons of milk in cats!

Here are the cats I received:
Your bucks -
$.75 - creamer, $1 Pizza, $1 deodorant, $1 Splenda, $1 butter, $1 Sugar, $2 Cocoa & Fruity Pebbles
National Catalinas -
$1.50 for Philly cream cheese for buying 5+ and a $5 cat from the Kraft deal (spend $20, get $5) because the "sale" price of the cream cheese is $2.59 so 8x$2.59= $20.72 which puts me over the $20 but really I only spent $1.29 each Preferred Price so 8x$1.29=$10.32 less my $4 in coupons = $6.32 and I $6.50 back!! That's a deal!
$4 for buying 5 Post cereals
$1.50 for buying 2 McCormick food color or extract
3 cats for a FREE gallon of milk (up to $4.19), any brand, any flavor - for buying 7 Kellogg's cereals - so the cereal ended up costing me $12.20 but I got 7 boxes of cereal and 3 free gallons of milk for that!

CVS

3 - 12 pks Coke/Diet Coke - $10 - got $3 ecb's
3 M&M's - $6 - used $1/3 coupon from 3/7RP
3 Listerine - $1.99 each - used 3 $1 coupons from http://www.coupons.com/ & 1 $3/3 CVS store coupon from
http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=14415&nid=10&zid=oj97 so FREE!
2 travel Visine - found these by the register not the travel sized section - $1.99 - used 2 $2 IP coupons (no longer available so hopefully you printed it when I told you about it back in March) so FREE!
1 Crest 3D - used $1 coupon from 2/21PG (expires 3/31!) and received $2 ecb's

So, my OOP was $18.88 and I received $5 in ecb's. Not bad for 3 12 pks and 3 M& M's.

All in all, it was a good shopping day! While going around Jewel, I realized that I need to figure out some more buy 10, get the 11th free and Kraft deals so I will post those tomorrow.

Happy Shopping!

Dove at Walgreens

The Dove RR is rolling! It is right now anyway. I figured I would give it a shot and try it. I bought a Dove hairspray and used my RR from yesterday when I bought the Dove conditioner. It did produce another RR! Now remember, if you choose to do this, you are doing it at your own risk because this is not how it normally works but it is working right now. :-)
Just read about this on www.MojoSavings.com too!

On Earth Day 4/22, Walgreens will have ink jet refills for $1!! She does say that service varies by location but you can call 1-800-WALGREEN to find a location that will be providing this service and to be sure your model will be covered. I'm saving my 3 refills to be done on that day instead of taking them this week for $9.99. Hopefully our Wags is doing it!

I just read on http://www.mojosavings.com/ that Bath & Body Works has a coupon for a FREE travel size item with any purchase. The coupon expires 4/21/10 - here is the link:

http://f.chtah.com/i/34/528207786/20100323_welcoupon.html

**Edit**
Just got home and found this in my email from Bath & Body Works! It's a link to a coupon for a FREE Signature Collection Shower Gel with any $10 purchase. You can combine it with the above coupon when you buy $10 worth of products. Here is the coupon:

Update on Walgreens

Ok, I went to Walgreens and here are a couple of things I figured you might want to know.

--The Halls coupons work on the Halls Vitamin C Defense with no problem at all. I gave the manufacturers coupons first.
--The mfg coupon for Starburst beeped so he had to manually enter it. I realize now that I did give that Walgreens coupon first so that might be it. Try handing the mfg. coupon over first and see if that makes it not beep.
--I couldn't find the Lighthouse caramel dip anywhere in the store. They were busy and so I couldn't ask anyone.
--The Dulcolax combined with the free water coupon worked with NO problems at all - yay free water! (If you live in South Elgin, you understand because we do not drink tap water)
--The Simply Saline must be the blue can, the white one does not work for the RR
--The DenTek floss picks are not included in the RR deal so you can not use the printable coupon

--Also, Hip2Save is reporting that the Dove RR is rolling. I did not try it so I can't say for sure. Normally you do not ever use a Walgreens RR (register reward) for the same product or another product from the same manufacturer because you will not get another RR but once in a blue moon though, they do roll. If you try, post a comment on here so that we know for sure!

Before I left, I hosted a Ziploc Organizing House Party! I had signed up a while ago and this was the third party I had applied for. I received a HUGE box full of Ziploc containers and bags (enough for 12-14 people)! All I had to do was gather my friends together and pass out the FREE Ziploc! Everyone left with an extra large Ziploc bag with at least three Ziploc containers, a Ziploc Sharpie Marker, a Ziploc memo pad, a booklet with some organizational tips and a couple of COUPONS!! I also received 2 storage tote bags (rectangle totes good to store extra clothing) in the box. Everyone loved their free products and hopefully will buy Ziploc the next time they are buying storage containers! :-)

Here is the link for House Party for more information:

I'm Back!!

I'm back from sunny Puerto Rico and definitely missing the sun - at least there is no snow on the ground! My sister and I had a great visit with my parents and they are doing really well, I think living in paradise will do that for you. Now it's back to reality and crazy schedules. Today Alex's team plays in the Championship basketball game at the YMCA so good luck guys!

I will be checking out all the blogs and deals I missed this week and posting anything that is still going on plus upcoming deals for this week so check back often in the next couple of days! :-)

While I was gone, Nightline did a segment featuring Jill Cataldo and someone from Kentucky named Nathan (http://www.weusecoupons.com/), that I have not heard of but I will be checking out his site. Doug recorded it for me and I watched it last night (this morning really) when I got home. It was a fun segment to watch, although I personally can't imagine what Nathan will do with ALL of that stuff in his garage! Wow! If you missed it, here is the link to the ABC video.

I'm sorry if it seems like I have deserted you guys! It has just been a terrible week - the pneumonia was bad enough but the pleurisy was so painful that I can't even explain it! I am much better now though thanks to some heavy duty antibiotics and steroids and have spent the last two days trying to get everything done from the week & a half that I pretty much spent in bed! So, I have not been able to get to any of the deals or look at any of the ads. I am sure that you have been keeping up with the deals by going to www.jillcataldo.com or www.mashupmom.com - or at least I hope so! I have heard from a few people that there have been some good deals going on.

We are on spring break this week and I will be out of town so it will be another quiet week - I'm sorry! Next Saturday, things will be back to normal (God willing!). I will be able to have some down time (without feeling horrible) so I will update when I can on any good deals going on.

Have a great week and Happy Shopping!

Just saw this on http://www.couponerswanted.com/ and printed up my coupons. I have never had them so I can't vouch for their taste but at this price, we will try them.

Thursday's Jewel ad (3/18) shows Chef's Requested filets will be BOGO. Go to this link: http://chefsrequested.com/Default.aspx?tabid=149 and sign up so you can print up some decent coupons. They have a $3.00 coupon, B3G1 coupon, a couple of $1 coupons and a few others I didn't print. It is limit of one coupon and I was not able to print more using the back button.

I figure they will come out to about $1.00 a package using two coupons. One person said they did not care for them another said they liked them so you be the judge! :-) Now I am going to bed because I am off to the doctor at 8am to see if I can get a stronger inhaler or something because I am a bit better but still feeling awful and now my left side feels like it's going to burst every time I cough! Hopefully it's just a pulled muscle from all of this coughing.

Happy Shopping!

Hasbro games

So I see on Hip2Save that in the USA Weekend or Parade magazine in today's paper, there might be a B2G1 Free coupon for Hasbro card games. Only my USA Weekend from the Daily Herald had it. So, I printed two $5 coupons from here: http://print.coupons.com/couponweb/Offers.aspx?pid=15162&zid=st48&nid=20 to use with the coupon. We had to stop at Target today to get something so I checked the game section. Monopoly card game - completely gone! Looks like others saw the posting too.

Well, we stopped at Meijer to get a pie for Pie (3.14) Day and I tried there. The games were $5.49 each and I picked a Yahtzee game for $5.99 as my free one. Ok, you know how Meijer is not one of my favorite stores for couponing???? Well, the two $5 coupons scanned fine, but when the cashier scanned the B2G1 coupon, it only took off $5.49. I was fine with that - I could see how it would take the cheapest one off. It did though CROSS OFF and DEDUCT my two $5 coupons! I don't know if it was because the free coupon was put towards the Monopoly and since there was already two coupons for those, it took them off. The cashier called a manager, who was nice and looked everything over very carefully and then just put the two $5 coupons through again but I am telling you so that you make sure that the $5 coupons come off and don't get added back on. Maybe giving the free one first would fix this but then the second $5 coupon would probably beep. Maybe getting 3 games that are exactly the same price would be better. Who knows, just be sure to get your $10 off if you are buying two Monopoly games for this deal!

I also just read about a GREAT Target deal! Dial NutriSkin Hand Soap is reportedly $1.37 at Target. If you use the $.35 coupon from the 3/7RP and the $1 Target coupon from here:
http://sites.target.com/site/en/spot/nat_coupons.jsp?coupon_4=show&x=51&y=19 it will only cost you $.02!! I am going to try it tomorrow before work so I will let you know if there are any problems.

Thanks Collin at http://www.hip2save.com/!

Oscar Mayer Bacon

***Edit***
This coupon is no longer available but hopefully you were able to print 2 yesterday or this morning. If you did, and did not go to Jewel for your bacon, you can get it at Walgreens - they have Oscar Mayer Ready to Serve bacon, BOGO for $3.99 - use the 2 coupons (up to your cashier or Manager but both Wags by me allow it) and get two packs for $.99!

So I just read on Jill Cataldo's site that you can buy 2 packages of Oscar Mayer Bacon for under $1! They are on sale through TODAY ONLY for $2.99 each. Buy 2 packages and use 2 $1.50 coupons from this link: http://www.kraftbrands.com/goodmoodmission/?s=kraftpromotions#/section/save/offer/bacon bringing it down to $2.98 for the 2 packages. You will receive a $1 Your Bucks cat and $1 cat from Oscar Mayer for buying 2 packages! That's a great price!

I received an email from Kraft First Taste about getting a coupon for FREE Philadelphia Minis! I logged in and under the "my activities" section I was able to request a coupon! I have gotten a few coupons for items through them over the last several months so if you are not a member, check it out and become one! The site is: http://www.kraftfirsttaste.com/default.aspx

I have also been selected to be a House Party host for the Ziploc Organizing House Party! I am awaiting my party kit with my free products and coupons. I will be "hosting" my party at our monthly Bunko night! I have signed up a couple of times in the past for different ones and this is the first time I will actually host. Free products and coupons, I am there! :-) Go to www.houseparty.com and check it out.
Well, I went to the Minute Clinic today and sure enough, I have bronchitis! What has happened to my immune system?!?!? Anyway, I have an inhaler and hopefully will stop coughing so much that I think I am losing a lung. I have pretty much slept all day since everytime I fall asleep, I wake up with a coughing fit not too long after. I did see one thing on Mashup Mom and when I went out to CVS, I went over to the Jewel to try it and sure enough, it worked!

Mashup Mom reported that the single Jose Ole chimichangas are working towards the C.h.i.l.l. deal so I thought I would try it. They are on sale for $1 each, I bought 10 and got the $10 cat! So, free chimichangas! These are not the healthiest things but once in a while, they are ok. I will share some because we do not need 10 of them in the house! :-) The ones I bought were steak & cheese - UPC 073202892513 & chicken & cheese - UPC 073202892537. I bought these at the South Elgin Jewel and they did have at least 20-30 more!
