Here is some info on the ConAgra deal at Jewel with ad prices and coupon matchups thanks to MashUp Mom! I love your site Rachel - thank you!!

I have been swamped with several different projects around here so I have not been keeping up with the ads. Last week, I never even opened my Wednesday paper to get the ads out! These crazy times in our lives is when I am most grateful for having stocked up on groceries and products we use all of the time! I did not go to the store except to get some milk and a few produce items using some Walgreens RR's and everything else for the last week and a half came from my pantry and freezer! I love it! Now that there is a good cat deal, I will be making some time to get to Jewel! :-)

Now, this ConAgra deal should work like the cat deals have always worked at Jewel. No guarantees but here is how it has worked: You can use the "sale" price to get to your $25.00 instead of using the Preferred price. Now, there are three prices at Jewel - Shelf, Sale and Preferred. ALWAYS scan your item at the price checker and you use that SALE price to calculate your totals. If there are only two prices, use the sale price. Items on the Osco side of the store will usually work on the Preferred price though. Also, "sale" prices vary from store to store, sometimes only by a few cents but that will throw your total off so always, always check your items!
Remember of course, that you are doing the deal against the ad and so YOU are take the RISK of not getting your Catalina coupon for some reason. Sometimes it's because you added wrong, picked up the wrong size product, the Catalina system is down, etc. If you do not get your Cat, please do not complain to Customer Service! You are doing this against the ad and therefore taking the risk! Either politely return the items, right then and there, (otherwise they have to throw out the product if you take it out of the store) or just take it home and take the loss. That is what I usually do - I took the risk, it didn't work out, I keep the product. I figure I have saved so much money, it's not a big deal if it doesn't work out from time to time.
