So, I have a $10 cat left and I had one at home from the transaction I did several days ago (forgot to bring it with me) to do some grocery shopping with. I think I am done with the Jewel cat deal. I have coupons and can get some stuff pretty cheap but in trying to keep with my January challenge, I am only going to do it if I can figure out how to get the stuff free or under a couple of dollars. I'll keep you posted. :-)

We also went to Menards - the only reason I am posting about Menards is because they are giving you 15% off anything you can fit inside of their green bags. We bought 2 more papers and some clearanced Christmas ribbon. I also bought a Hannah Montana cutting set (make your own stickers) that will be a MM after rebate. It is $5.00 with a $5 MIR (mail in rebate) and an additional $10.00 purchase. Doug bought a couple of air filters for the cars so that took care of the $10.00. With the 15% discount we paid $4.25 for it and will get back $5.00. It runs through Saturday so you can use it to buy your papers next Sat. too.

I went to Walgreens today - yesterday all I got was the Electrosol :-) and here is what worked:

2 small boxes of Chips Ahoy - $.99 each
2 Reach floss - $3.79 each
3 cans Hunts tomato sauce - $.99 each
2 Stayfree pads - $6.29 each

Used BOGO Stayfree coupon ($6.29), BOGO Reach floss coupon ($3.79), $1 Reach coupon, $1/3 Hunts coupon, Wags Stayfree coupon ($6), Wags Hunts coupon ($1.80), Wags Reach coupon ($4), $1 Wags RR - oop $1.05 and received $2 RR for the Chips Ahoy!

I had 3 coupons for the Bayer Quick Release tablets but my Walgreens had them on clearance for $5.99 not $2.29 - what's up with that? I had to get some balloons for a coworkers birthday tomorrow so on my way I figured I would stop and check the other Walgreens down the road. They had the Bayer on clearance for $2.29 - yay! So I picked up three of them and just to test it out I bought 1 Oreo and 1 Fig Newton to see if it would generate the $2 RR like the Chips Ahoy cookies did. It did not so stick to the Chips Ahoy for free cookies!

3 - Bayer - $2.29 each
2 - cookies - $.99 each
used 3 $1.50 Bayer coupons and $1 RR. oop - $3.46 and received a $6 RR from the Bayer deal! Wow, good money maker! Would have been better if the cookies worked.

So, I have $20 in Jewel cats and $12 in Wags RR's. I feel pretty good about that!

Happy Shopping!
