Carson Pirie Scott is holding their Goodwill Sale starting today through March 24th. Today (3/10) only, they are giving you double coupons too! So you will get two 20% off coupons for every item you bring in. It is a good way to clean out some stuff from your closet and donate them while get some good deals at Carson's.

I also have a little story to tell you. Last Friday, I took Amanda shopping again for a Prom dress. Well, we ended up finding a beautiful one at Carson's. It was more than I really wanted to spend but when she put it on we both just fell in LOVE with it! So my mind starts racing to think of how I can justify spending this money for a dress that she will wear for a few hours for one night and never wear again. Well, I saw signs up in the store about reserving your merchandise for the Goodwill Sale so I leave my credit card number and put the dress on hold until the sale starts so that we can be sure it will be there and we will get 20% off.

Of course, you guys know me and I am going to try to get as much off as I can so over the weekend my mind continues to think about this. I went onto the website - http://www.carson.com/ - and they have a link to sign up to get a 25% off coupon! Well, that's another 5%! Ok, we are getting the price down now :-) While shopping on Saturday, I also find that my favorite store - Jewel - sells Carson Pirie Scott gift cards! The light bulb goes off and I realize that for every $50 gift card I buy, I could get another $5 Your Bucks cat - I could throw in some groceries and get it to $60 and get $6 in Your Bucks but at this point, I am not going to spend more OOP than I have to at Jewel because I have a lot of $$ in cats to burn up in the next week there. I did call the store to be sure that I could use the 25% coupon on the dress (yes!) and to let them know that I have the gift cards since I held it using my credit card on Friday. It is no problem at all.
