I am loving Jewel again! Not that I ever stopped loving it but it sure was quiet for a while - now with all of these cat deals going on I can barely keep it straight! :-)

I just got back and did 2 GM deals, 2 C.h.i.l.l. deals and many Your Bucks deals in one transaction. Here is what I ended up with:

I am going to give you the "sale" price from the S. Elgin store for the GM deal (make sure you check the price at YOUR store, they are different sometimes) but I am not going to break everything down because I have given the coupon info in previous posts and the Preferred price is advertised.

GM deal:

Before I go on, I do have to say something. When I was at Jewel yesterday, the self check-out person told me that they are considering stopping the program (don't know how true this is) because of people stealing. Since the cats come out right after you ring the item, they are scanning the items, grabbing the cats and then leaving the food! I am sure that none of you are doing this but please if you see anyone doing this, let the Jewel people know, it's stealing - plain and simple. It really irritates me that people out there would ruin a good thing - I mean if you pay for it once, you can keep rolling the cats over and over and it's still FREE without stealing and messing it up for the people like us that are doing it to just feed our family as inexpensively as possible. Grrr....

I received 3- $7 GM cats plus the $3.50 cats for the Fiber One bars and $3.50 BC Fruit Snacks. So, after cats, all of that cost $3.80!!!!! SO GOOD!

I just saw this on hip2save - Three $.75/3 coupons! They do not expire until 6/30 and these might come in handy on a Jewel deal so print and save them! :-) I printed 2 from each link and saw that some people were able to print up to 10 from the last link. I tried it and did print 3 from that link but I don't need that many so I am not sure what the limit is! There usually is a coupon limit they put out, it may be 10,000 or 50,000, who knows but print as many as you will use and leave the others so that as many people possible can get the coupons.

I am really excited about the new ad for tomorrow! The prices for the GM deal are much better. Some may be dropped down to that right now (I have read on other blogs about some Pillsbury being lower now) so I am making a list and going to try this afternoon after work. Looks like the GM deal stacks 3 high (meaning you can "buy" $60.00 in "sale" prices) and get 3 $7.00 cats! Yay - less trips through the line. Be careful though, make sure you have the right amount because you can't complain to customer service for your cats if you are doing the deal any other way than what is advertised!

Today is my husbands birthday - Happy Birthday Honey - I love you! I bought some T-bone steaks that are marinating in the fridge and I bought some beautiful potatoes to bake and will add some free green beans, a salad and some bread and we are going to have a great birthday dinner!

I went to Jewel today and did one transaction for the GM deal so it IS working today! I bought 7 BC cake mixes ($1.00preferred, $1.40 sale price) and 6 cans of Old El Paso refried beans ($1.25 preferred, $1.79 sale price) so $14.50 OOP and I got back $7.00 cat for the GM deal and a $3.00 cat good on my next beef or chicken purchase for the Old El Paso (that one ends tonight) so $4.50 for all that is not bad!

I also got a loaf of Jewel bread which is $.79 and I got $1.00 Your Bucks cat - Money Maker! I bought 1 Tyson chicken nuggets which were $4.99 and I got a $3.00 Your Bucks cat so $1.99!

I did not do any of the Pillsbury stuff because it is not on sale. The Savorings and Pizza Rolls weren't on sale either - prices should be better on Thursday (hopefully!) :-)

I don't post about Butera very often but they have a few great deals going on this week. I just got back and here is what I bought:

Doug did one transaction for butter, eggs & rice because the Butera coupons are limit of one.

I sent my hubby on assignment to Jewel today while I was at work to test out the Your Bucks deal. Here is what we learned:

1. Yes, it works! We got 2 $1 cats good on your next order for the bread and the eggs
2. In order to get the $5 cat for spending $50, it must be AFTER all coupons. I had Doug buy a $50 gift card with the bread and eggs and had $10 in catalinas which I told Doug to use those so his total was $44.xx. No $5.00 cat! Your total must be $50.00 after all coupons and cats in order to get the $5 cat.

I'm Back!!

Well, I am back from our whirlwind of a Disney trip. We had a great time! The marching band was great - it is so incredible to see our kids marching down Main Street in Magic Kingdom. They sounded great! The Jazz band performed on the new stage in Downtown Disney and were amazing. We got in late last night after 23 hours on a bus and I sure was tired at work today. I came home and took a nap and I feel so much better. :-)

It looks like these are Catalina coupons that you will get back after your purchase. They are really good deals too! The best one is the $5.00 when you buy $50.00. You can buy $50 in gift cards and still get the $5.00 cat! That's really a good deal! There is also deals on Stouffer's which are on sale this week, $1.00 on Jewel eggs, etc. Check it out! Jewel coupon booklet

I went to Jewel last night and found a coupon booklet called Value Your Heart. It's white and red with someones hands holding strawberries I believe (sorry, mine is in the car) and there were really good coupons in there! At the South Elgin Jewel, they had 2 big cardboard displays in the produce section and there were a TON there so pick up a couple next time you go into Jewel.

A couple of great Valentines deals!

I went to Walgreens tonight and bought this Harry London Valentine heart (fabric covered) that rang up $4.99! That's not the only good thing - it has a peelie on it that is $20.00 off 1-800 Flowers! I don't know if you can use more than one peelie code at a time but enter as a gift card and not a coupon code. I wish I would have had this code when I ordered flowers a couple of weeks ago that will be delivered Friday for my sister-in-law's birthday! Oh well. :-) I'm thinking of sending myself some Valentines flowers - hmmmm..... The coupon doesn't expire until 12/31/10 so there is plenty of time to use it, it might come in handy for Mother's Day!

The second great deal I have is http://www.restaurant.com/! You guys know that I really like using their certificates and have not had any issues with them at all at several different restaurants. The certificates are 80% off right now so you can get a $25.00 certificate for only $2.00! That's not the best part - they are also giving you a $15.00 FTD rewards credit! Too bad it's not 1-800 Flowers huh?!?!? I guess we can't be THAT lucky! :-) Anyway, it's a great deal for $2.00 so check it out. They are also giving a $50.00 gift certificate when you join the Dinner of the Month Club. The code to use is HEART and it will give you the 80% discount through 2/14/10.

**Edit** I forgot to tell you that I went through www.Ebates.com to buy the Restaurant.com gift certificates (I got 15% cash back). It's an online rebate site that you can earn cash just for going through them to buy items online. I have not used my 1-800 Flowers peelie codes on there but you will be able to. When I ordered the flowers a couple of weeks ago, I went through them and earned 12% cash back on my order. Check them out.

Jewel freezer deal

Don't forget this is the weekend that Jewel is selling the chest freezer for $150 with $150 worth of coupons! Some stores are reported to have them out already, South Elgin being one of them. They are in the ad for sale on Sunday and Monday but you might want to call your store and see if they are selling them now so that they don't run out by tomorrow.

Target Mobile!

I just signed up for Target mobile coupons! Once you sign up, you will start getting monthly offers via text message - if you do not have unlimited texting, you will be charged your standard text messaging fees. They sent me a text saying that I will receive up to 5 messages a month. I will not get coupons that have a bar code and the cashier will be able to scan your phone! How great is this!?!?!? Well, hopefully the gun scanner will work because I'm not too sure about handing over my iPhone so a cashier can drop it! Can you imagine?!?!? Here is the link to their site:

Meijer has a Kraft Cheese Deal going on. It's 3/$5 - get an instant $1 off at register wyb 3 so, 3/$4. It should give you $1 off for every 3 you buy so if you buy 6, you could use 3 - $1/2 coupons making it under $1 each.

Jewel Freezer this weekend!

Remember a couple of months ago when I posted about the freezer that I bought last February at Jewel? I read on Jill Cataldo's site that this weekend they will be having them for sale again. The deal last year was that the freezer cost $150.00 and inside there was $150.00 worth of coupons for free items inside. The expiration date was 12/31 and I waited for BOGO deals throughout the year to get two free items for one coupon! There were a few items that never did go BOGO but a lot that did. Check it out if you would like a freezer but go early because they went fast last year!

Jewel ConAgra cat deal

Couponers Wanted has the UPC list for the ConAgra deal - they are requesting that it is not copied and posted on any other blog or site so I am directing you to view it on their site: www.couponerswanted.com. They work very hard over there to give out some great info and have a great site that offers TONS of information! Check it out but before posting any questions, do some work and FIRST read the Jewel info, Catalina, Fav 4 and any other deal threads - they will answer many questions for you!!

It looks like this is not a wonderful cat deal like we were expecting, I will do one or two deals and will probably be done. The spend $20, get $5 usually doesn't have a good enough spread to get lots of stuff dirt cheap or free. A lot of the "normal" things in a ConAgra deal are not included like Orville Reddenbacher popcorn (Act II is though), Hunts pudding, Wesson Oil (glad I got a ton last time!), Hunts tomatoes.....
